Download our Teacher Handbook with everything you need to know to run the Seagrasses in Classes program in your classroom.

CEHL educators will kick of the program by delivering an Introduction to Eelgrass presentation to your class. During this visit we can help your students set up their tank of eelgrass, which was harvested within 24 hours of your class time, in a shady spot outside. We will help your students brainstorm questions they might want to explore with their tanks.

Over the next couple of weeks your class can do some of the activities in the handbook or on this website, record observations, and track water quality data in the tank. Your class is encouraged to contribute observations, pictures and questions to our blog, as a way to maintain communication between students the scientists at the lab. We will return to lead a field trip to observe a natural eelgrass bed, or to lead a Data Literacy lesson in the classroom where we will help students analyze the data they have been collecting.
