Climate change

Invasive Green Crabs may be becoming more abundant in Maine due to warming waters. Green crabs are known to destroy eelgrass through direct grazing by juveniles and uprooting by adults. To help determine if green crabs may be playing a role in eelgrass declines in your area, your students can conduct a green crab survey.
